wols
Hi all, first post. I was wondering if there is a CD install set to install OSX86 from. I do not have a DVD drive (not even a reader, let alone a burner). My current version is the deadmoo image, (10.4.1 I believe, that's the deadmoo version right?), installed with windows DD to a slave drive. Does such a CD set exist for OSX86? I can't seem to find one on the usual torrent sites (all DVD ISOs) If one doesn't exist, is it possible to get an update to deadmoo? All I need is the first version that will run my ethernet (VIA Rhine II, driver says it needs 10.4.3), and an Realtek AC97 Integrated Audio. 10.4.1 already supports my graphics card (not sure what it is, but it's an AGP card.) SSE 2 Patch would help too, (running on an AMD sempron 3000+, No sse 3) - All the links are dead, win2osx.net gives me one of those "domain for sale" type pages. Can anyone help? Thanks, wols Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/76384-install-osx86-from-a-cd-set/ Share on other sites
thestevo
There most likely will never be an OSX86 CD install set. The only tiger CD set is for PPC, and there is no reason for there to ever be an Intel version. Technically it could be possible if somebody spent a large amount of time replacing almost all the files on the discs to universal binaries. However, nobody will take the time to do that. I recommend you buy a $25 DVD burner. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/76384-install-osx86-from-a-cd-set/#findComment-540253 Share on other sites
