First things first, I want to thank JamesD for his guide: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=75928

And Paranoid for much needed advice and kexts for my setup.

There are many guides that describe how to install EFI and update to 10.5.1. I tried all of them and this is the only one that worked for me. These steps are specifically for my setup, so if you have the same it should work for you.

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-945GCMX-S2

CPU: Pentium D930

Video: Onboard GMA 950

1. Boot to ToH disk and create GUID partition as stated in the guide.

2. Run EFI script.

3. Install Leopard. Removed DVD when done.

4. At this point, my system would boot without the DVD but I got a kernel panic.

5. I downloaded the 9.1.0 speedstep/intel/amd/sse3 kernel from #10.5 on chat.osx86.hu and extracted it to my usb drive. This is the ToH kernel.

6. Boot to DVD and open terminal

7. Backup mach_kernel file and copy ToH kernel from usb drive to root of Leopard install.

8. Reboot.

9. My system booted! Ran software update.

10. After restart, my system went into reboot loop.

11. Booted to DVD again and opened terminal.

12. Copied ToH kernel from usb drive to root of Leopard volume one more time. Restarted.

13. System booted and was to 10.5.1 but now my resolutions were gone.

14. Download these kexts: http://rapidshare.com/files/76756436/GMA950_10.5.1.zip.html

15. Extracted to usb drive and restarted, booting to DVD again.

16. Opened terminal and moved kexts from usb drive to /Volumes/your_Leopard_install/System/Library/Extensions

17. chowned and chmoded files that I moved, reference this link for more info on commands: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=72493

18. Rebooted and resolutions were back.

19. Downloaded and installed ACL888 patch for sound: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...ost&id=6740

Everything is working!

I know this is not the most comprehensive guide but I hope it helps someone.
