gonzo.damn Posted January 24, 2006 Share Posted January 24, 2006 I've Installed 10.4.3 with the JaS 4.2b Patch....and it's INCREDIBLY FAST!!!....iTunes opens as fast as i click...there's no Lag...and the most awesome part is...that spotlight works as fast as i saw it on real Intel iMacs videos!!!!....and my processor is just a 1.40 GHz Pentum 4...(it has at least 3 years old)....i'm so happy!!!! ...aaahh...and my Lexmark P6250 Printer works here too...(i couldn't make it work on 10.4.1, or 10.4.3 first time i've installed it without JaS Patch...) gonzo.damn Posted January 24, 2006 Author Share Posted January 24, 2006 well...i've followed a guide in profit42.com...i got the "macosx_10.4.3_8f1111_dtk_userdvd.dmg" (3.012.765.286 bytes)...and converted it to an .iso file with UltraISO, i've got macosx_10.4.3_8f1111_dtk_userdvd.iso...then i've patched it with the .ppf file in "1111a.Generic.Patch.v4.2b.zip" file (a.s.a JaS Patch), i've got a 4.623.276.032 bytes file...then i burned it ....and i've installed it natively (without VMWare)...hope this helps you.... RipJaw Posted January 26, 2006 Share Posted January 26, 2006 Ya thats most likley the easiest way I found to install mac also. I had no issues with the conversion from dmg or any thing like that. My only issue is my display driver is still messed up and I only get B&W but that patch method worked well for me.
