emailissent
-Mobile AMD Sempron 3500+ (Has SSE2 & SSE3) -1.5MB DDR2 memory -ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 Shared memory integrated I realize it's not the best but will it at least work? I realize it won't transcode movies fast with this processor. But will I at least be able to use FCP and other mac programs? Synaesthesia
I don't think you will get Quartz Express/Core Image with that setup, and therefore FCP will not work very well at all. Mac OS X may work on your laptop though. Of course it is possible to get OSX + FCP running perfectly if you have the right hardware. For more information, click on the "OSx86 Project" button on the top right of this page, lots of info there. Check out the compatibilty lists (especially 10.4.8 which is the most complete one). What kind of GPU or integrated GPU will I at least need to run FCP? (sorry I would look this up myself but mac doesn't exactly list system requirments for video like they do for PC) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/76094-if-i-install-mac-will-i-be-able-to-run-final-cut-pro-on-this-pc/#findComment-537321 Share on other sites
