well if the memory thing didn't work then try getting a new video card. the video card you have at the moment (845G) isn't supported by osx so u'll have to get one that is supported, i'd go with a geforce fx5200 because that's the card i got (i have a dimension 2300 and had the same problem).

ps: make sure you buy a pci video card because i don't think your mobo supports anything other than pci.

er... DONT go for a geforce - only ATI cards are accelerated (ie have drivers under OSX) just now, whereas geforce cards will run in VESA mode (sorta like VGA mode on windows).

get a Radeon 9550 if you want a really cheap card - it will be supported by OSX and give you Quartz Extreme and Core Image support.

The highest Ati PCI model I can find is 9250 it is not currently supported

Looks like your only option is to upgrade the motherboard Asrock makes a socket 478 that has Intel GMA 900 which is supported they sell for $90 CDN

The only problem is verifying if it will fit in your Dell case and run on your power supply
