Good day to everyone and thank you for making possible to run osx on pc.

I searched the forum but unfo could not find perfect solution for my problems so any help and advice would be highly appreciated.

System:Vista UltimateAsus P5K Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 "Conroe" 2.66GHz

Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C4 TwinX (2x1GB)

Leadtek GeForce 8600 GT Extreme 256MB GDDR3

Seagate 500GB SATA (used for Vista), plugged to SATA Master (RED)

Seagate 80GB IDE (for Leopard), plugged to IDE Master via JMicron IDE controller

Seagate 120GB IDE (does not determined by system probably jumper is not in slave position) - will find out tonight - anyway not sure it affects installation

Samsung DVD-RW S203B SATA - plugged to SATA Master (RED)

USB Drive 256MB for PATCHER

I use Brazilmac patched installation disk. I want to install Leo on one of IDE drives, actually on 80GB drive. I boot from DVD, hit F8, use -v parameter. tryed also -v -x, -v -x -legacy

It goes well all in text mode, then screen resolution changes to higher (I believe after graphic drivers loaded) and a bit later "still waiting for root device" mesage appears.

I understand it cannot find the device I want to install to but what am I doing wrong? I set BIOS according to this tutorial: http://forum.osx86scene.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2566

(4) Setting BIOS (Enhanced Mode) (BIOS Version : 0603)

[Main]Tab > Sata Configuration [iDE or AHCI] => [iDE] , [Disabled or Enhanced or Comparable] => [Enhanced] ,

Configure SATA as [iDE]- [Advanced]Tab > J-Micron eSATA/PATA Controller [Enabled or Disabled] => [Disabled]

(( Default BIOS AHCI & JMicron AHCI can use, too, but Enhanced is faster and more convenient than 2 AHCIs. ))

(( Default BIOS AHCI : o SATA1(down-red) port: Installation(o), Booting(o), Read&Write(o) o SATA2(up-red) port: only Read&Write(o) )) (for SATA HDD & DVD-RW)(( Enhanced : o SATA1&SATA2 ports: Installation(o), Booting(o), Read&Write(o) )) (for SATA HDD & DVD-RW)

I deleted all partitions on 80GB IDE disk, - created 1 partition 20GB formatted FAT32 with label LEOPARD under vindows vista - no difference.Still the same problem

So what should I do next? Is it possible to install from SATA DVD to IDE drive?Or I should dd flat image to this partition and try boot from there?Anyway

I don't want to install Leo on the same SATA drive as VistaPlease help me to find a solution to continue install. Or maybe I should plug SATA DVD drive to JMicron controlled SATA ?

Thank you very much indeed
