Hi all of you,

I'm trying to install OSX86 on a Seagate 320Gb SATA II Drive, but when i have to choose a drive to install it, no drive appers. Do I need to config something else to make this possible?

Thanks for the time you took to read this, i'll appreciate any help given...

Probably is the SATA controller on your MoBo, maybe it's not supported by MacOSx. Look at your book of MoBo, MoBo itself and Look at the osx86 HCL page. I tried to install on my Silicon Image as RAID 0 (2x250GB) on my d975xbx intel. It doesn't see the hd too. Try to choose other sata port, or check the BIOS if everything is enabled (sata port). New MoBos usually have two series of 4 sata ports of which 4 are usually for raid. Yours has an external eSata i presume. Yo could try to use this external port too. I would buy an external USB or FireWire HD case (SATAII to FireWire or USB 2.0 highspeed 400-800 and 480 mb/s theoretically(?)) and try to install this way. If it doesn't go, You could allways use an FW or usb HD for back-up. But, If you're using an FireWire professional audiosystem (RME, M-Audio, focusrite or MOTU) forget it. Too much bandwidth with FW HD and FW audio. after that you could maybe wait for 3rd party driver for your sata controller, install it and then plug on internal sata port. Or try to put an 40-80 GB ide hd as master together with dvd rom ide cable and use it to install osx86 if it goes. Surely you have some laying around.
