Okay, so I'm at a loss...

I've got almost everything else working %100, but the only thing that I'm having troubles with is the QE/CI (which, I assume, stands for Quartz Extreme and Core Image) support for my video card...

I understand I have to download and install Titan or natiT, which I have done (Titan, I believe).

Then, as I was reading on, the walkthrough said I have to (now here's where I get lost) add my Device ID (or DevID) to three kexts (GEFORCE.KEXT NVDARESMAN.KEXT NVDANV40Hal.kext) in the /System/Library/Extensions/ directory. Okay, fine, I can handle that...

Low and behold I find out that a Kext is a special directory full of XML and whatnot, so... here's my set of questions...

1) I don't know how, or where, to find, or construct, my DevID for my PCI-e GeForce 256MB 7300GT (XFX Video Card).

2) I don't know what file within the kext that I have to add said DevID, and where to put it.

3) I don't have a GeForce.kext on my computer... at all...

:)

I'm not looking for someone to fix my problems, I'm just looking for a push in the right direction.

You should be ok with just natit, shouldn't need to add dev id for your card- or have to delete any kexts. You can try adding NVinject if natit doesn't do it for you by itself.

Sorry for the delay...

I'll try NVinject next... New problem, though...

During instilation the system freezes. I've installed it many times now, but now it's just freezing...

I checked and re burned the DVD, and on top of that it never freezes in the same spot.

Could it be a RAM issue or maybe a currupted (or currupting) hard drive?

It's a 120GB IDE with a partition straight down the middle.

Alright, I've added an older 40GB IDE Seagate drive to try and install there... No luck, still freezes.I've been reading and some people way they have problems with SATA drives... My DVD drive is SATA... could this be causing the problems?Well, in any case, I'm going to add another IDE DVD drive, that seems to be where the problem is.Hopefully I can get this going again...Alright, I removed all the SATA drives (HDD, DVD) from the system and left just the destination IDE HDD and Source IDE DVD drive.System seems to boot from CD quicker with this older drive.. o.OWell, it's installing now. It's not having ANY hiccups yet.... Like, none. So, No SATA drive for OS X... It seems to be installing much quicker, too...Will keep you posted.Alright, I removed all the SATA drives (HDD, DVD) from the system and left just the destination IDE HDD and Source IDE DVD drive.System seems to boot from CD quicker with this older drive.. o.OWell, it's installing now. It seems to be installing much quicker.Installation was a success by removing all SATA drives and replacing the SATA DVD drive with an IDE. Now I'm getting the apple logo with a Circle/Slash... >.< Will try installing WITHOUT all the other things... Just a base installation... Why did this work before?Decided to -v to see where the hangup was before installation, however, it booted this time with no errors.... o.OWill keep you posted.

It's probably due to your nforce mobo, not familiar with it myself, but i'm pretty sure you need to patch it. Have you tried changing the sata mode in your bios? Often putting sata into eide mode will fix detection problems. Like I said, you need to find a thread about nforce4.
