I purchased a tyan s5396 motherboard which has an lsi 1068e sas controller built onto it. This is a link to the motherboard specs http://tyan.com/product_board_spec.aspx?pid=562 I put together a very nice system for around 2 grand. I am content to use windows vista 64, but would LOVE to use osX. I started my computer using a copy of os x 10.5 and was able to run the installer. I was able to set up my sas drives in software raid. I then installed to the drives. On reboot my system came to a blinking cursor in the upper left corner. Nothing after that. So my question is. Does osx support booting from software raid? If so what do I need to set to get this thing running.
