Greyhair
Hey all. For some reason a few days ago my sound quit working on the line out. According to Realteks software there are no speakers plugged in so there is no sound coming out. The speakers work just fine in Leopard but not in windows. The only way I can get sound is through the headphone jack on the front of my Mac Pro. I have tried uninstalling and rebooting (the driver) several times and as near as I can tell I have the latest realtek driver. Any suggestions? Greyhair
Well I have now figured out that the problem is in the line out detect function of the driver. For some reason I cannot choose what port to use for sound like you can in OS X and it won't see anything that I plug into the back. If I pull sideways on the connector it will detect the speakers and play sound after a few seconds. Is there any way to turn off the auto detect so that I can tell it to output to line out?
