6600gt QE/CI prob on Leopard on my amd pc

Hello,

 

I am using :

AMD-4400X2, ASUS M2NPV-MX board(430 chipset), 2GB ram, & XFX 6600GT 128 MB PCIE

 

I have installed the TOH leo dvd after applying the AMD PPF.

I have tried to install natit packages.. titan NV40 pkg from the older TUBGIRL amd release, Uphuck AND release, but i am only getting

1024x768 with no QE/CI.

 

Only titan worked for me with full qe/ci support on the tiger releases. I have also tried NVinject & its not working. When i manually try to install kextz i get the error (geforce, nvdresman, nv40hal).kext not properly loaded.

 

Please anyone help.

10.5.0 and 10.5.1 Nvidia kexts are working fine on my AMD rig with NVinject or with Natit

 

If you had an NForce chipset Motherboard you need to delete the &0xfffxffff strings of the kexts to avoid detection conflicts with other Nvidia components.

 

The better way to do it is to leave only your DeviceID like this:

0x014110de

 

the kext that be edited are:

Geforce.kext

NVDANV40Hal.kext

NVDAResman.kext

and NVinject or Natit whichever you have.

I have somehow managed to install geforce, nvdaresman & 40 hal kext without probs but i am having difficulties with natit & nvinjext.

Could you please send me the natit & nvinject kext you are using...

I have tried a lot of combinations. I could successfully get all the resolutions working properly but still no qe/ci.

 

I have tried a lot of combinations for kext (NV40.pkj, online available leonvidia.zip & leo_vid_kexts.zip rapidshare, with titan, natit, nvinject) but no qe/ci. Strangely I could get the resolutions to show properly by installing the old nv40 (titan) pkg.

Nvinject macnub installer also works but no qe/ci. Leopard UI seems slow without QE?CI support.

 

I have no problems on TIGER & get full hardware acc. with Nvinject & titan. Natit does not workk(the screen goes blank. Though i can still hear sounds).

 

I was trying on the TOH leo RC2 with the amd ppf but now downloading the 10.5.1 for amd leo from torrent, will see if that helps.

FINALLY GOT QE/CI WORKING!!!! :mellow:

 

Could do it on the zephyoth's LEO AMD Release.

Use some kexts by the name of 6600le with NVinject around the forums.

Is the first time I install an os x on my amd 3500+ (sse2). Its running like a charm, except video. I need help because I read a lot of tutorials and I can't accomplish the task to have support for my msi geforce 6600 128mb ddr2 gt pci-x. In some tries, I was able to take dual monitor, frequency and resolution change support but without qe/ci. I'm very confused about injectors and versions because all of them, when I opened it, they are different and I don't know if the problem is about versions compatibility.

 

From the begin, where can I obtain a working Geforce.kext, NVDANVX0Hal.kext and NVDAResman.kext? or where I can obtain the original or cleaned versions of those files and what I have to edit exactly and where? The same questions for natit.kext and nvinject.kext.

 

I can accomplish the task to enable again the basic support for the video card, I mean, dual monitor, frequency and resolution changes. So if it's a great idea to enable qe/ci support from this point, maybe is easy for you to help from this point.
