decilling
Photo booth, quicktime, divx, real player, firefox and safari (only when watching media) like to crash. I try running them in roseta but that makes it very slow and usless as the video is about 2 fps and still crashes some but less. I think its quicktime or something similar to that, is there a fix for these? i have the leopard 5.1 update installed running on the hardware in my sig. And while im making a topic i might as well add that my sound is in 2.1 and not 5.1 and sometimes only 1 rear speaker works and nothing else. when i go into the sound settings only one output is showen. my audio is AC97. thanks. sergiales
I have same problems, specially watching videos (mp4) in QuickTime. Possible reasons? - Graphics Driver (GeForce/Natit). I'm going to switch to Titan and try. Edit: nope, Titan does not make any difference. It still crashes. - Codecs (Perian, VLC). I'm currently using Perian 1.0. - Other reasons? When I get tired of the crashes, I use to back to Windows. I'm wondering if a perfect hackintosh exists... MacMan2007
Any of you running with an overclocked system? How does the program crash? Is it a kernel panic? sergiales
Any of you running with an overclocked system? How does the program crash? Is it a kernel panic? Nope. My system is not overcloked in any way. I've uninstalled Perian, and installed VLC. With VLC i don't get crashes anymore. I recommend it for those who get crashes with QT. I recommend it for those who get crashes with QT. sounds like you have a bad plug-in in /library/quicktime... I had same problems till I removed one that some bit of software installed - iirc it was one to let QT save files in divx.
