blackfrancis75
Hello, I was running uphuck10.4.9 ok, then last night I successfully installed Kalyway's patched version of Leopard on my Dell Inspiron 9400. The OS boots up fine but once in Leopard it behaves as though some hardware is hammering with interrupts or something; I get a few seconds of control at normal speed and then a hang, followed by another burst of useability and then hang. I don't think this is the CPU maxing out because my fan doesn't ramp up. Can someone explain to a relative OSX newb how to troubleshoot the slowdown? necrophage
If your processor is dual core then you need to disable one of the cores 2 ways 1)kernel flag: cpus=1 2) disable multicore in BIOS. I have a E1705 and need to do the same for leopard brazilmac-patched[which is ridiculously easy to install] Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/75204-inspiron-9400-running-kalyway-leopard-bursty-hangs/#findComment-531301 Share on other sites
