michaelOSX
Hi! First of all, hi iam new here. I have installed Tiger 10.4.1, the installer worked correctly. Yes i know 10.4.1 is old, i hope there aren`t any problems. After ~1h installing it says that i have to restart, i took the dvd out and restarted, but my PC wanted to boot Windows Vista (32 bit). I have 2 Hard Drives, 80GB (Windows Vista) and a 7.9GB (MacOSX). My 7.9GB HD was empty. Okay, so I took the dvd back in the drive and booted from dvd. I used the "Startup Disk Utility" and clicked on "MacOSX" (not dvd) to boot from my installed mac. Then it says that he restarts but then he freeze. It just dont reboot. Please help me. Thanks for any help. Here my system spec.: Mainboard: ASUS A8N-SLI (Premium I think) CPU: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3800+ (supports SSE2 AND SSE3) Memory: 1GB Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/75031-restart-problem-with-os-x-1041/ Share on other sites
michaelOSX
If anyone got the same Problem & is interested: The same thing happens if you install the SSE3 packet, my cpu supports SSE3. I tried SSE2 & SSE3. But when I say reboot, the round "spinning-thing" pops up in the middle-bottom of the screen and it freeze. The spinning-thing turns around put nothing else happens. Please! Does anybody knows what that cause the Problem??? Thanks.
