shimigg
hey all , well , after to much effort , i did manage to install leopard (Toh rc2) , installed widows xp first boot to leopard install DVD and installed on a pre made partition , before installation reboots did that: partitioned a usb drive -- activated the partition : >fdisk -e /dev/rdiskXsY (replace the X and Y with your info) >update >f (now comes the partition number u want to activate) >w (write command) >q (quit) now the partition is active (press enter after every line of course) on to the bootfix , format a usb drive and label it 123 put the brazil files folder (i will not tell u where to get it) on the usb drive when u still on the boot dvd insert the usb drive we just prepared , > cd /Volumes/123/files/bootfix now do the following ./dd if=/usr/standalone/i386/boot1h of=/dev/rdiskXsY bs=512 count=1 ./startupfiletool -v /dev/rdiskXsY /usr/standalone/i386/boot ./bless -device /dev/diskXsY -setBoot -verbose reboot , now sit back and watch your loepard boot up nicely to boot winxp hold f8 when darwin boot loader comes up and select your windows partition ... to the hardware : lan - worked out of the box wlan - still doesnt work (used Linksys wusb54g - with the mathod for 10.4.x - works in leopard too). sound - worked with the azalia fix for 10.4.x (easy to find here in the forum) graphics - worked with natit for 10.4.x (works in leopard too) no tweaking needed - qi/ce works great. bluetooth - works out of the box benchmark - 120 pts (added 1gb of memory) and 1.86 centrino duo processor. that's it ... to be clear , i didnt invent anything in this thread , i found it searching around for a long time , so i decided to gather it for all how have difficulties with installing and dual booting , this mathod worked on my desktop too.
