jamesbeat
I have a USB wireless dongle, RTL8187 chipset. I have installed the drivers and everything is working fine. sort of. I installed it and tested it in one of my three USB ports and it worked flawlessly, but when I plug it into the port that I want to use it in (the physical location of the port is much more convenient) it doesn't get recognised at boot and I have to unplug and replug it. After replugging it works fine. If I plug it into the other ports it gets recognised but not in the one I want to use. I really want to use this port because it is an internal port on my laptop and effectively gives me internal wifi. Can anyone think of a reason why this may be? jamesbeat
Well, being an OS X n00b, I decided to just reinstall OS X. Works fine now. This all reminds me of the bad old days when I used to use windows...
