Zoonyx
OK, Having stripped my computer down and having an IDE DVD Drive hanging out the side of it, I managed to get Leopard installing. Heres my disk (roughly) 500gig <*><RAW 40GIG><RAW2 40GIG><FILESTORE LOTSOFGIG><MEDIA LOTS OF GIG> RAW is where I have installed leopard. RAW2 is where I will install XP through bootcamp. (I;m saying RAW - But the first one is whatever format the installer formatted it to. Shows up as FAT32 in a partition manager I have. The other 2 partitions are filestores in NTFS format. The * is just free but unusuable space (something hanging over from an XP install I believe). I used the instructions included in the ...erm... files I found. Everything eventually went OK, but no bootloader seems to have been installed. The PostPatch was run, but I didn't edit this file before hand as it didn't tell me to. Could this be the problem? Basically everything appears installed and successful - except there is no bootloader, and I just get insert system disk, insert a dos diskette to boot messages. I could fix this in windows, but don't know where to start with mac stuff! BTW, All my storage devices are SATA - hard disk and optical, hence me installing an ancient IDE dvd drive for setup! Zoonyx
Please ignore this - it seems the instructions didn't bother with preparing the disk bits and pieces - have searched this very site for a more complete guide and will try again tonight!
