Hey,

I've been reading up and I haven't really foudn any solution to my issue.

I can run OSx 10.4 (tiger) on my Toshiba A200-ah7 (gma 945m, t2450 core duo 2.0ghz), but when I install OSx 10.5 (leopard) the ToH rc2 it boots up and then as soon as the screen with the apple ans spinning loader is through it gives me a screen telling me that I need to reboot and to either hold the power button for a few seonds or press the reset button. Everytime I reboot it gives the same error. Any ideas?

I haven't tried any of the "EFI" stuff because I don't really understand what it is or how to use it or if it will fix my issue -- any insights??

Thanks -- Gord ;)

I've had this same problem. What exactly does -legacy do ? I have a P4 2.8 Ghz CPU on and older Dell precision 360. Thanks for the help

Edit- the funny thing is I installed ToH the same way on a P4 celeron 2.6 Ghz and it works without this issue (too bad its not my computer).

i had the same error and "i_am...me" told me to do this

It might be the AppleEFIRuntime.kext delete it.

Start with -v and take a screen shot so we can help you better

and it booted fine...just have a welcome movie loop problem...so try that...

how do I delete that kext if I cannot boot? Um, also I can't run it in legacy mode because I don't have a boot options -- do I have to use the leopard install disc to access the legacy mode??

edit: I reinstalled leopard and then when it said to reboot it I did and it no gives a blank screen after the applo logo loader...I was running late for a meeting this afternoon so I didnt' get a change to reboot again after the blank screen so it *might* go away after another reboot (? although a buddy of min had this issue -- he mentioned something about a paperclip and the vga out but that was on tiger). Any ideas on the blank monitor issue? I'll reboot when I get home later this evening (like an hour or so) and report back.,...

update: nothing seems to happen when I rebooted, I tried to reboot and use legacy mode but it's not bootig into verbose mode so I can't report much - I'm going to re-reformat my drive and stick tiger on there until I hear back...

Update 2: I reinstalled ToH Leopard without Tiger being first installed and it works like a charm!!! I'm so excited! ahah
