Trying to install leo flat on my p5b.

I have a Vista partition, and a 20gb id=af partition.

Tried dd if=leopard-x86-flat-img of=\\?\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2 bs=32256 skip=1 --progress

and

dd if=leopard-x86-flat-img of=\\?\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2 bs=5M --progress

- It might have been harddrive1, i can't remember.

Well it copied successfully, and when I boot into the new partition it says No Operating System

Have I DD'd onto the wrong disk/part or would it error me if it doesn't exist? My destination in disk part is disk 0 partition 2.

I have also tried switching from IDE to AHCI (bluescreens me on vista)

What have I done wrong?

I had the same problem as you. It wasn't until I moved all my data off the drive (I said drive not partition) and trashed the entire drive; was I able to install. Meaning there was no partition on my second drive. Once I did that, the flat image install took. The flat image installs Leopard and creates a partition, then you need to go back and create a partition out of the unused space.
