yaemish
I installed an Intel PWLA8391GT 10/100/1000 NIC following a sucessful Leopard install. I'm new to Macs so not really sure how to get it working. Should it be auto detected or will I need to somehow find drivers? I'm hoping that generic 10/100 Intel drivers might work but I am unsure of how to install them. Any help is appreciated.
frizbot
The Intel Pro 1000 GT works under OS X PPC, and natively under 10.4.8 OSX86. I don't know what chipset the PWLA8391GT is, but it should work. Check under SystemPreferences.app->Network->NetworkConfiguration.
yaemish
the system infor shows that there are no PCI cards installed on my machine. Is there a way to get OSX to scan for hardware? It says that it is the 82541PI chipset.
yaemish
Did some reading and tried to edit IONetworkingFamily. My card should be the AppleIntel8254xethernet but I'm not sure that I edited it correctly. Still, no network card shows up. Windows calls it the Intel Pro 1000GT. Any help is appreciated. Also, didn't install the EFI patch at all.
