Alright, so I've been dual booting XP and OSX for quite some time now, and recently I decided I might as well upgrade from 10.4.8 to 10.4.10, doing so caused all sorts of kernel panics and I just figured I'd wait out for a release of Leopard I could easily install, so I switched back to just xp.

Well, this morning I decided I'd try to reinstall osx again using my Jas 10.4.8 intel yadda yadda CD that I've used previously. The install went fine, but when it rebooted it went to the white apple logo booting screen, then completely blank, and my monitor went into sleep mode.

Now, I've had this problem before, and since my Dell 4600 doesn't have an onboard monitor port, I have to use my Nvidia 5200 card. I'm assuming there's a driver problem here, but I still don't get why it will show nothing at all, not even when I first start up the computer, usually it would show the dell bios running, but it just starts in sleep mode. I've tried taking out the hard drive and booting from the xp one, but it still has the same effect.

So, I was just wondering if anyone could maybe help me out a bit, or if someone thinks it's a hardware problem I've caused, just anything would help really.

PS. I did search the forums, google, etc to see if there were any problems of this sort, but couldn't find anything, so sorry if this seems like a stupid question.
