sirdikus
Hello, I have some problems with the audio drivers working on Vista Ultimate 32b. The drivers appear to be properly installed (I didn't have to install them with a CD because I used the boot camp version of leopard). My computer identifies the sound car as "Sigmatel High Definition Audio CODEC". In the mixer I can see two devices (Speakers or SPDIF) and I can see the volume bars moving when I play a song for example. It doesn't matter which device I select (speaker or spdif) or if I plug headphones or digital speakers (mini toslink). I also realise that the light of the optical out is always on. And if I boot windows by VMware fusion the sound card didn't appears because there aren't drivers. Does someone know where is the problem? Thanks. sirdikus
I have modified several things and now I can use SPDIF. Now I have to learn how to enable the built in speakers of the macbook and the analog minijack. sirdikus
I can use the built in speakers on Vista if I am running it by VMware Fusion, but if I boot in Vista by Boot Camp I can't use the internal speakers. That's going to make me crazy. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/74286-vista-32-mbp-2nd-gen-no-audio/#findComment-528082 Share on other sites

htdefiant
I don't have those drivers to upload, but have you tried rebooting to Windows and inserting the Leopard DVD and reinstalling the drivers?
