Brazilmac Patch DVD won't Boot Past the Spinning Icon on Gray Apple Logo

Aghh!. I've downloaded two 6.6 Gig DVD Images and applied the Brazilmac Patch to both of them. Burned them.. THey both do the exact same thing..

I have an IBM T42 that I already have successfully installed 10.4.8. I pulled the HD on it and put a different one in.. Prepped the HD by using the Make HD Bootable CD that I found.. Boot up my Brazilmac Patched DVD and watch all drive activity come to a stand still while I'm shown a rotating Icon on a Gray Apple Logo.. Thats as far as it ever goes..

BIZARRE!

Please Help!

yep it takes a lonnggggggggggg time so you have to be patient. Check and make sure when you burn your dvd make sure it verfies the burn. then boot into the dvd using -v option and see if it gives an error. Best way is to boot from a partition. Thats the only way i got mine working.

So it really takes that long.. Is it supposed to just sit idle and not budge.. No drive activity..

I tried booting my disk on a T61. It gets further.. The colored Pin wheel makes a brief spin or two but eventually everything stops again.

I would like to know more about how I can try your method of booting off a Partition.

THanks!

Brian.

Its gotta be some sort of flaky incompatibility with Lepoard's Hardware requirements or something.. Really strange I get the Apple Logo Hang even on a PC that successfully runs 10.4.8 flawlessly.. I thought for sure if there was a PC that I have that would be most compatible with Leopard it would be that machine but I guess not.

I guess the only thing for me to do now is wait it out for better luck with maybe the uphuck release whenever that comes out..
