Hello

Yesterday I was using my DVD burner, and sometimes it will act up. the Gray power button will show on screen telling me to restart. so I did, and after that leopard won't load.It seems like the Bootloader won't load at all.I am using EFI v5.2 and i tried reinstalling EFI and getting it to boot, but with no success.please help!

Setup: E6300 on GA-P35-DS3L

GeForce 7900GS

320Gb SATA

edit: if i boot from the ToH DVD and let it boot through without pressing f8, it will show "com.apple.boot.plist" not foundbut i don't know if that is the problem. if it is, how do i fix it?

edit: No one has any ideas? I really need my computer to be working!

when I do not select boot from DVD, the darwin bootloader will not load.

i booting into the DVD, reinstalled efi_v52 but the same thing still happens.

Is there any other way to get it booted? (i need to at least be able to get my stuff back to back it up)

my computer was working for the whole 2 weeks before this and I had EFI installed with no problems.

I have used Vanilla kernel and also the lastest ToH kernel.

I wonder if it is due to com.apple.boot.plist being missing, but how do i go about reparing it?

I can reinstall this if i choose, but I want to get my stuff out first before I do (i don't have a spare HDD to use to install)
