Hello, I am trying to install Kalyway release of OSX and im getting the message "still waiting for root device" I have read most of the post and its telling me to change the ICH9 to AHCI mode, I tried that and still no luck. I have also tried puting the hard drive on the JMicron controller but that does not seem to work either. I think I have tried almost ever combination, If anyone could help me out I would really appriciate it.

 

Here are my specs

 

Motherboard = GA-P35-DS3R - rev 2 I belive

CPU = Intel E6750

Hard Drives = 2 120GB SATA - seagate

DVD-RW Drive = SATA Liteon

Graphics = Nvidia 7600GT

hey... sata control as ahci... disable ide controle... it's works me using uphuck 10.4.9 version 1.4.. good luck!

I have this board - my configuration is as follows...

 

In Bios - enable native sata support and set sata mode to AHCI (these two setings are ot the top of the 'intergrated' page)

Disable the SATA IDE support (this should grey out the setting below which asks SATA or IDE Mode... AHCI ect) - this setting is futher down the page, under the SMART LAN thing

 

SATA HD to SATA0 on mobo

SATA DVD to SATA1 on mobo

 

That ought to be it
