I successfully installed the ToH DVD of Leopard and everything seemed great with the installer. Booted, worked, looked like OSX. Once installed I ran into a problem with the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext so I removed it. Now it boots up to the blue screen and then hangs. If I connect an external monitor it incorrectly tries to use it with the resolution of the internal display. Ideas? Help appreciated. Cheers

Yep, even with an external monitor it hangs at the blue screen. I am going to modify the Boot plist with the correct resolution and see if there is anything on the screen at all on the external monitor. Any idea why the install disc would work fine, but the bootable OS doesn't?

Hi,

I also have a Dell XPS M140 (equivalent to an Inspiron 630m) that I would like to install Leopard on. Unfortunately, when the GUI part of the installation starts, it just hangs.

My XPS specs are:

Processor: Pentium M 750 (SSE 2) 1.86Ghz

Chipset: Intel i915 GMS/i910GML

Southbridge: iCH6-m

Display: Intel 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express

NIC: Broadcom 440x 10/100 integrated controller

Wireless: Intel Pro wireless 2200GB

Sound: Sigmatel High Definition Audio

I've tried to install BrazilMac Patched, Kalyway Official 10.5.1, ToH, and iATKOS 1.0ir2. Do I need to install from a USB DVD drive? My internal DVD is a dual layer.

How have you been successful?

Thank you in advance.
