Downloaded OSX86 Flat Image , have one HD drive only , ~80GB 1 partition .. (Which is the Windows) Did the instructions as told , manage to get Leopard to boot up , saw the welcome screen , register info etc etc .. Went to update my OSX into 10.5.1 , I'm not so sure about EFI or whatsoever ;D (I just follow instruction and did not do or add in anything else) 1 attempt : Update OSX , reboot , got into the Apple Boot Screen and the small loop just keep on loading , after a while ~5mins , it will just reboot itself . Not wanting to give up I reinstall Windows XP Pro back and re-do what I had just did . This time round ,I can't even get into Leopard at all . It load the Apple Boot Screen , and it show me another instruction , Restart the computer or press the restart button (It show different kind of languages) and after I restart my computer , it still the same. And again , I now install back to Windows Vista And going to attempt anymore but seek help first .. I would greatly appreciate those who have help me .. And again I have another laptop .. Gotta state it in point form .. 1 try : CMD prompt went wrong , show words , (it had not load into 17GB) and restart my comp , failed 2nd try : Manage to install Leopard , no problem , after my first reboot , it can't even get into leopard at all , it stay on the bootscreen and keep on loading .. Last attempt : CMD prompt (installing the OSX to 17GB) , i press the button to get my DVD out , and immediately , it show me a blue screen and rebooted , obviously , it can't work as well ... Well , pls help me if you can Good day to you ~ check these forums for EFI, I think you'll find you need efi update BEFORE doing that 10.5.1 update...reason is your using a hacked kernal...!!! Rufus T. Firefly
Yeah probably installed EFI wrong or it didn't take. You need to have EFI enabled for an Apple update Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/73628-osx86-flat-image-doesnt-work-after-update/#findComment-520236 Share on other sites
