steelerdean
Installed Leopard 10.5 onto following:- Acer 3614wlmi 1gig ram 80 gig hdd intel 910 graphics All works a charm using the 1 wire trick for gfx. Only thing is, it won't boot when i take the installation dvd out, only boots into osx when dvd is in the drive. With it out it just hangs after POST. Also, when I do boot in, I don't think its seeing that its a laptop, there's no battery bar and when I access energy screen, there's no option to add the battery bar. Any ideas anyone. Help greatly appreciated. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/73548-toh-105/ Share on other sites

steelerdean
Just tried the guide for setting the partition active using the 'how to' guide on this forum using fdisk but still get the same problem. Anyone any other ideas? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/73548-toh-105/#findComment-519637 Share on other sites

naddy69
Mine wouldn't boot until I did an upgrade install over a previous version. I installed JAS 4.6 (although I'm pretty sure any version will work), got it working and then installed ToH 5.0 over it as an upgrade. Works fine now. Never actually 'upgraded' from another version before. Is it as simple as just installing the older version as normal, then booting and installing from 10.5 installation DVD? Or do I have to run the 10.5 DVD from within the older version of OSX when its installed? SticMAC™
you could have used uphucks "make a drive bootable CD to first get it bootable! then you dont have to go through the whole suffering of an installation you'll find it on tpb....
