Gathering Disk Information

okay, so ive tried JaS's image but with no luck and uphuck so im now trying mac.nub and vie gotten the furthest with this

first of all my specs are:

 

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600

Evga 680i mobo

2SATA hardrives

1 IDE hardrive

 

now, once i get into the installed and i click disk utility and it stays spining forever and nothing happens, am i doing something wrong with formatting the drive ins vista?

 

I tried leaving it unallocated, i think tried unaloocating it and then doing the diskpart stuff but nothing works and ive tried it on the IDE drive and the SATA hardrive, does an1 knwo what i can do? Help would be greatly apprecieated
