josh cherkes
I finally burned os x onto a dvd, so i go and slip it into my drive every thing goes ok untile it asks you which drive you want to put it on. note:I already mage the hfs+ partition on my hard drive and set it active. The problem is os x just doesnt see any drives when it gives me the selection menu (third step into the install). The strage thing is, that when I went into utilities both of my partitions were recongnised. what can be cuasing this? any help would be greatly appreciated. Jake74
I just had a similar problem. My drive was recognized, but the installer wouldn't let me install onto the drive. It said something about OS X not being able to boot from this drive. Anyway, I decided to use the disk utility to fomart it for UNIX File System and it worked like a charm. Using an IBM Thinkpad T30.
