Hi,

Since the release of Leopard, I just had to try to install Leopard on my PC :D

I have a Intel Core2Duo E6400 on a Asus P5B-V. First, installer won't boot (com.apple.plist), so I connected my sata drive to my 2nd pc (Asus P5B-VM). Installer boots, install goes fine and reboot works also. Booting in Leopard works also, so I thought: great!

Now, in my 1st PC, I connected the drive and Leopard crashed with an kernel panic. I tried booting with -v -legacy etc and there I get: "still waiting on root device".

Playing with AHCI settings makes no sense.

I found this topic: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=63305, describing exactly what I needed: ICH8 and JMicron support! Installed this pkg on my 2nd pc, put the drive back, same error.

Anyone who has seen this before and fixed it?

Also, weird thing: only difference between the two PC's is only the "M" on the motherboard.. Weird stuff:

Intel ICH8

- 4 x SATA 3 Gb/s-poorten

JMicron® JMB363 PATA- en SATA-controller

On both motherboards..

I'm not sure, but I think I have the same board. ToH's release works for me. I shall look tonight when I'm back at home. Maybe I can help. :(

Sorr I forgot yesterday. I have a Asus P5VD2-X, with VIA PT 890 Chipset and Jmicron.

So it's a different mobo. I have no problems with ToH. Is it working already?
