First off, Eject menu will likely always show "No Drives" unless you have a Apple drive installed.....

 

Second, there is a solution for the About this Mac crashing in the forums, perhaps it needs loginwindow fix.

What do you mean with Apple drive? With Tiger, eject menu works fine.

 

About This Mac

I did that with Tiger, but I couldn't find loginwindow fix for Leopard.
