Coins Posted November 24, 2007 Share Posted November 24, 2007 Can some one help me, I installed IO80211family.kext patch from tiger, chmod repairs disk permissions and everything, and when i go to System Prefrences and network i see airport but i cant turn it on and use it, my network cards there and it works on windows, i got a Dwl-g510 dlink wireless g card Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
gfindlay1 Posted December 6, 2007 Share Posted December 6, 2007 I have the same card, and had it working perfectly in 10.4, but I can't seem to do it in Leopard. When I try to copy over the IO80211family.kext from 10.4.5 (the one that works perfectly with this card), it automatically tells me before I can even CHMOD or repair permissions that "Leopard cannot use this extension". I can't even get as far as you did Coins, how did you get your card showing up in the first place? Also - have you done the en0 -> en1 switch yet in the NetworkInterfaces.plist?
