Hi,

Does anyone know how I can change my refresh rate for 5500fx to a more acceptable 85Hz? Right now it's 60 and it's killing my eyes. I dont care about QE OR CI support, I just want to get 85Hz. I've tried booting with the "graphics mode" command but it doesnt do anything, I've also added that to my boot.plist with no results. Can anyone offer some advice on how to resolve this?

thanks :)

Hi

i doubt you will get a higher refresh-rate then the 60Hz without an working driver, even if the nvidia card supports VESA 3.0.

So all we must wait for Apple to code working drivers (...), or just buy an cheap supported ATI card (yeah, both dont sound that good huh?)

You can't, you have to wait 'till nvidia releases drivers for OsX86

since u said u tried the "graphic mode" option i suppose u did edit the file com.apple.Boot.plist in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ and added the following lines :

<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1024x768x24@85</string>

Depending on the Vesa implementation u could need to write "X" and not "x" in the resolution string.. my fx5200 require the "x" while my 6600 require "X" to work correctly

(btw this has been already posted a few times on the board)

No 'X' nor 'x' is working for my Geforce 6150.
