Eesh Dewan Posted November 23, 2007 Share Posted November 23, 2007 Just bought an Acer 4710 laptop with Core2duo T5500 1.67GHz with 1GB Ram (upgraded to 3GB) and 160 GB HDD. Partitioned HDD to 40+40+80GB. Installed Windows XP on 2nd. partition first, then installed OSX 10.5.1 from the Kalyway disk. then updated the installation using Kalyway to 10.5.2 and then to 10.5.3. using vanilla kernel. using graphics update too. What is working GMA950 no artifacts using Paulicat Natit all resolutions working, VGA out working. Speaker Working, Line out working, internal microphone working, volume works camera works in ichat, yahoo, but not in photo booth or account preferences. usb ports work. time machine working perfectly, , Bluetooth, DVD writer, touchpad, keyboard both work. Photoshop also works Not working - ethernet (Netlink Broadcom 5787M), wireless lan (Intel 3945ABG), card readers (O2 micro), modem (HDAudio), express card slot. sleep does not work, system does not shut down cleanly. ylloree Posted January 17, 2009 Share Posted January 17, 2009 i also managed to install on my acer4710 using iatkos i5 but i'm having problems with my screen resolution. i only have 1024x768. can you tell me how you managed to fix your screen resolution? thanks...
