I have tried installing on both SATA and IDE drives. I have also tried installing from SATA DVD and IDE DVD. Still dont seem to be getting anywhere. I have disconnected all un-needed peripherals. Here are a couple of screens, sorry for the quality, taken on my mobile phone. I hope someone can make a bit more sense of these than I can. Your help is greately appreciated. TIA DoZZa PS, I have tried using the -x -v switches, still no go. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/72757-not-sure-what-to-do/ Share on other sites

DoZZa
Hi all, Tried all those switches, -f -v -x And also disabled the JMicron SATA Controller. Its still a no go. I get this error: SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, SENSE_KEY = 0x05, ASC = 0x24, ASCQ = 0x00 I get this error when trying to install from the DVD in both VMWare and a direct boot from the DVD from the POST. Any more ideas? If not I will just knock this idea on the head for now.
