Jordash
Hey, it's me again. Well, I finally got OSX to install so yay. The problem I am having now is getting a dual boot system running. I have 2 HD's, one IDE Master with Windows XP, and my OSX HD, firewire external, jumpered to be Slave. When installing OSX I had to connect the HD using IDE and make it master to get the install going. Now I have put it back in it's enclosure and am trying to get it to boot. I have tried the Chain0 method, which just gave me a screen that it couldn't find what to boot. I also tried Grub, which didn't want to work, couldn't find menu.lst, even though I made them So...anyone have any ideas? I can't make the OSX drive master as I need to be able to connect it to any comp, and I found out that having 2 masters doesn't work, hehehe. Is there a way besides Chain0 to use boot.ini to boot from somewhere? Can you tell it which HD# to boot from or anything? Any help would be appriciated. macgirl
PC's cant boot from FireWire Drives, some can from USB devices. That's why chain0 and grub cant find it.
