If yes, is possible also with 8800 series ? There are tests of it ? Synaesthesia Posted November 21, 2007 Share Posted November 21, 2007 No, you can't. You have to buy the apple certified card. They're different because Macs use EFI, not BIOS like PC's. I believe there was some effort into hacking a normal 8800 to work in a Mac Pro, earlier on this forum. I don't know if they were successful.
