No matter how much i wait the screen saver doesnt start! In order to start i must first logout from session and login again. After that the screen saver starts after idle time limit without a problem... Please help me... adambomb
First thing I did was delete all the screensaver files in/Users/(your username)/Library/Preferences/ByHost. Be extra careful with the files you remove, make sure they are only screensaver files. Next I went into a Terminal and entered sudo nano /System/Library/Frameworks/ScreenSaver.framework/Versions/A/Resources/EngineDefaults.plist There I edited the value under the key "idleTime" to whatever time I want the screensaver to start. Remember to put your time in seconds (ex I wanted it to start after 3 minutes so I put 180). I saved and exited the terminal. Next I used OSX86 Tools to repair permissions and etc and rebooted. From that point on screensaver has been working. if this helps you then please pm me with a way to use my wep key when i log onto my wireless without security it works and when i use a wep key it says incorrect password when I go to connect and I know for a fact it is the correct pass so please help me Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/72433-screen-saver-not-loading/#findComment-1124841 Share on other sites
