JE
I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction. I gave a patch for the ApplePS2Controller a try which did let the keyboard work, however the mouse touchpad continues to not work. I'm not sure what to do. Idea's? Links! Anything. JE
Ok, perhaps I can make the ball move with thought: The extension that drives the Keyboard (and I would expect the mouse) is ApplePS2Controller.kext. A patched version I found here does make the keyboard work, but it needs to be unloaded and reloaded (odd). The mouse continues to not work. Any thoughts? Edit: Tried using the OpenDarwin version of ApplePS2Controller, it doesn't load. Also tried the 10.4.1 ApplePS2Controller, again, doesn't work (which when I was running 10.4.1 it did work). JustForKix
i had similar problems with getting my keyboard and mouse to work. what was strange was that if i turned on the computer with a usb mouse plugged in, then both the built-in keyboard and touchpad worked fine and the usb mouse didnt. if there was no usb mouse on startup then neither the keyboard nor the mouse worked. so currently i start the comp with a usb mouse plugged in and just the touchpad later. i am using 10.4.1 on a hp pavilion ze4000 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7243-keyboard-and-mouse-doesnt-work-on-laptop/#findComment-45623 Share on other sites
