Thanks for your reply.

As I knew that I would not be able to create any more DVDs once I have the new hardware I prepared about 10 DVDs with different kernels (Vanilla, ToH etc) and one of the versions included the BrazilMac kexts plus BrazilMac kernel in combination with the files you gave me and your patcher and this version also does not work...they all give me some panics :P

What do you think, could it be the bootloader and/or the new files you created for me?

swag01 & herbalb:

these are the things i found out using the script...

when working on a tiger, the origial script didnt work for me because of the ASR issue. so i used the ditto2 script. but it turned out the booting hangs before it reaches the language selection screen. ( tried it at least 6 times but same result).

when working on leopard, the original script works.. ( no ASR issue)

So i assumed that to be able to have a succesful patch dvd using swag01 script, you have to be in leopard environment.

This sounds very interesting, many thanks for the information. So guess it is time for me to try to install Leo with the ToH or BrazilMac release and then try the original script. Hope this works - I'll post my experiences as soon as I managed to get Leo installed and could try the patcher again.

UPDATE: I was able to install ToH-release over an existing OSX 10.4.10 (from XxX) so I tested the other script in Leopard but nothing changed so it does not seem to me that it is the script that causes the problems with my images. Guess I will have to continue with trying out different kernels with different kexts.

UPDATE2: Well it seems I am just out of luck. None of my images boots, if there is no kernel panic then it simply reboots (i.e. with vanilla kernel) or freezes (see attachment).
