I was just wondering how I can convert my VMware emulated drive to a fixed HD as the guide that came with my Mac-OS-X-10.4.7-AMD.Intel-(JaS)-ISO-Repack.iso image, although it mentions it, it does not give any instructions as to how to do it.

I had tried to install Hackintosh onto a physical partition with Daemon Tools mounting the .iso image but VMware had problems as it popped up dialogue box saying that the OS is confused about the state of the CD drive or something along those lines when I tried to pause the virtual machine or I had to forcefully shut down VMware after it took forever to shut down. Then if I tried to start the virtual machine again, it said it cannot open the .vmdk file or one of the snapshot disks it depends on as the partition table on the physical disk had changed since the disk was created. Then I will have to reformat the partition again and start over as the computer said Drive D is corrupt and to run chkdsk.

Following the advice from a member from another forum, I reformatted the drive partition and got VMware to set up a virtual drive in that partition. I then reinstalled Mac OS X using Daemon Tools again to mount the .iso image but I selected to install Mac OS X on the emulated drive instead. The installation worked and I no longer have those pause/shutdown problems anymore.

However, now I want Hackintosh to run natively now as it is faster but the problem is my computer does not have a dvd burner/reader. Therefore I am wondering about how to convert my VMware emulated drive to a fixed HD as since it was mentioned in the guide I read, it must be possible.

If anyone could link me to a guide that you followed and found it worked for you please post it or at least please offer some assistance regarding this matter. Thanks!
