Install freezes

I'm using the JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2 install dvd and I wanted to install Mac OS X as the only OS on my old laptop:

 

Compaq Presario 2190US

Intel Mobile Celeron 2.4 GHz

768 MB RAM

40 GB IDE Hard Drive

(ask for more details if necessary)

 

It freezes at the line:

USBF:   28.228  AppleUSBOHCI[0x2195800]::start OHCI controller will be unloaded across sleep

 

Any help will be much appreciated.

 

If Mac doesn't work, I'll just install Ubuntu.

I get the same message after trying Jas 10.4.8 on a Compaq Presario 2170 ca.. AMD processor, 1 gig ram, did you end up finding a solution?

I haven't seen the presario 21xx series listed on HCL wiki.. seems like it's an unlikely install.. but would love to know if you've got it working on yours.

Try MSIWindowsx86.iso although is for lenovo S10 it works for Compaq too, Lucky guys

Thanks for the heads up - have tried it a couple times - no luck so far. Will wipe the drive and retry tho.. keeping fingers crossed.
