ericchen0121
I just started getting this problem with the dual-monitor setup I have. When I boot the computer, both monitors show the startup/bios/Apple start screen. However, when it loads OS X, the monitors start going black and flash on with the blue background. Then they will go off and nothing will show. When I boot the computer with one monitor, it works fine. When I plug in the second DVI cable, the second monitor doesn't turn on, and the first monitor goes black. When I unplug the second DVI, it flashes once or twice, and then the original OS X shows up on the first monitor. HARDWARE: OS X 10.4.9 Jas with update. Natit 7900GS. Foxconn 7900GS 22" Acer DVI-DVI 22" Hanns-G HDMI-DVI --- NOTE: I have had this dual monitor setup working just fine booting up just a few days ago. However, lately, after trying to install a new set of RAM, my monitors have been acting realllly funny. I'm going crazy trying to figure this out. Any help is a blessing. ------ UPDATE: I have booted into my 10.4.10 Kalyway partition, and the dual monitor is working just dandy. Any guesses as to why it would suddenly fail in 10.4.9? I can't use my 10.4.9 OS without a solution .. .. -Eric Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/71261-dual-monitor-problems/ Share on other sites
