Vertigo50 Posted November 12, 2007 Share Posted November 12, 2007 I just wanted to share a solution I found recently. I was getting crashes when trying to install programs such as VLC. It would get near the end of the install and then OS X would give me a restart error, and I would have to do a hard restart. The way I fixed it was to use Marvin's AMD Utility to patch the cpuids. Of course, this will only work for those with AMD processors. This relatively simple fix took my system from very unstable to rock solid in just a few minutes time.
