doug_jnr
i have intel 650 3.4ghz and intel 915GAVL. i have installed using 10.4.3 and Jas's 4.2 patch giving me 8F1111A. seeing as though my hardware is basically supported out of the box, should i replace any files on my system? Jas has left 'maxxuss_sse', Jas.1111a.patches and a patches folder on the root of the system drive.....is any of this stuff any use to me? doug_jnr
what about the "platform=x86pc" switch? is that needed these days? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7098-anything-else-i-can-do/#findComment-44557 Share on other sites
miranda363
I don't suppose any of that is needed if your system is up and running but delete them with caution if you must and you could move them out of there first then see what happens as far as x86pc goes you will lose power management functionality if you use it and someone said their keyboard and mouse were affected by it but it has been reported not to work anyway and as I haven't tried it in 8f1111 I can't say for sure Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7098-anything-else-i-can-do/#findComment-44570 Share on other sites
