BJMoose
Generally, if your hardware is compatible, this message occurs when you have an improper format of your osx partition...either it isn't primary and active or you didn't set it to mbr (it might still be guid) format when you partitioned it in OSX. sony.mac
aaah found the GUID thing ... thats meant for intel based macintosh computers....and the middle option was for power-pc based option and the last option is for DOS based widows computers?? i thought mac.nub onto a sony vaio would have been the GUID option but what do i know..it didnt work and moose said that was the problem...so i went for the last option DOS based computers...we'll see in about 31 minutes apparently..... also when installing the mac.nub install disk ...is it only necassary to install the base system at first??? then add stuff upon reboot?? like drivers and 8.9.1 or whatever all the rest of the options are?
