chrisdkk
I'm trying to use macosx_10.4.3_8f1111a_JaS_Patch_4.2b.iso to install OSx86 on my Thinkpad T41 and I'm not getting too far. I get as far as the blue screen with the mouse cursor and everything just sort of stops. I've tried running the install with -v but I can't see the command line once the blue screen launches so it hasn't helped much. I've had a hard time finding any help through the search because it looks like lots of people can install OSx86 on their Thinkpads without any trouble, so what am I doing wrong? chrisdkk
Well I fixed the first of presumably many hurdles to get this working smoothly. Turns out I just wasn't waiting long enough, I tried booting off the DVD again, left the room for like 10 minutes and when I returned the select a langauge screen was waiting for me. I can get to this point too, but after this everything becomes extremely slow. All those windows sliding/menu fading effects move at the speed of about 5 seconds/frame. It's pretty much unuseable
chrisdkk
It took me like 12 hours to install it, mostly because I went ot bed waiting for one of the windows to load. After it installed though it was very very fast. Totally useable. If my built-in wifi worked it would be nearly perfect.
