guaterickie
hey everyone i have new questions now. I decided to try and install os x on vmware and used the uphuck 10.4.9 release. I used a physical disk instead of a virtual one and i used a guide on the OSx86 wiki. The install went flawlessly...both times. The first time i installed and chose some drivers and patches that i thought would suit the hardware in my computer. I then installed os x without any problems but i could not boot into it. I saw that i hadnt marked the partition active so i thought that was the problem so i used fdisk and the same guide in the wiki (a step i missed) to flag the partition as active. afterwards i restarted and still got a black screen. I decided to try again but this time i only installed the base system with no drivers and nothing and before installation i flagged the partition as active after creating the partition in the Disk Utility (like the guide said this time) i then reinstalled and once again saw that i could not boot into os x again. Dont know what the problem is! What do you guys think. I'm pretty sure the problem is the partition because after the installation the second time i opened up the installation log and it tells me that the partition isn't marked as bootable from the installation. So how do i make the partition bootable or is their something else im missing? Thanks for any help!
