Hellmonkeys
Yes, when attempting to install Tiger for JaS' 10.4.8 DVD, the computer will just shut down. First, I got the install started, it checked the disc, did a couple things, then shut down. Now, when I try to install it, it won't even get into the install GUI, it just shuts down in the process of loading the installer. Anyone have any ideas as to why? webterractive
I have used the JaS install 10.4.8 DVD and no I haven't experience anything like that. Maybe there is something wrong with your memory. Try using a Linux CD to wipe your HDD clean and do a memtest to see if any errors come up. By the way what is your setup? spikeh
Boot the install disc with -v (verbose mode) and tell us what you see. List your hardware as well.
